Attorney Karen I. Finley
Karen earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1995 from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. The following year, in 1996, she earned an advanced law degree, her Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) degree, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
Karen was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1995 and the Illinois Bar in 1996. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Estate Planning and Probate Administration Committee, the Missouri Bar Elder Law Committee, the Missouri Bar Taxation Committee, and the Missouri Bar Solo and Small Firm Committee.
Karen has been practicing law in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, fiduciary litigation, elder law, and tax and business planning for over fifteen years. Prior to opening The Finley Law Firm LLC in 2000, Karen served as Special Assistant Attorney General and Associate Counsel to the Missouri Department of Revenue where she litigated state tax appeals before the Missouri Administrative Hearing Commission. Subsequently, Karen served as a Senior Tax Consultant with Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nations “Big 4” public accounting firms.
